The Giant Bees collect nectar from multiple wild flowers within their vicinity, with taste nodes from experts sensing some bitterness, spice, woody, leaving a buttery flavour. They are high in medicinal properties since they are extracted from hives that are not easily accessible as they are located on cliff faces far above the ground and on the underside of branches of tall trees.

The Giant Bees are identified by the large body size. Being very ferocious and inflicting painful stings these have a well organized mass defence reaction. The combs of these species measure 1.5 to 2.1 meter from side to side and 0.6 to 1.2 meter from top to bottom. Each hive can produce about 20kilos to 23kilos of honey per hive/year. They are seasonally nomadic bees migrating to locations about 100-200kms every year.
